R.E.L. Controls Inc. is currently seeking a skilled Controls Technician in the Ottawa, Ontario area. The experienced candidate will be responsible for the servicing, commissioning and troubleshooting of environmental control systems and providing product support to customers.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Building Automation Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals for building automation and control system projects. You will analyze project specifications, drawings, and customer requirements to develop competitive bids while ensuring compliance with industry standards and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for building automation systems, including controls, instrumentation, networking, and integration.
• Coordinate with sales, engineering, project management, and vendors to obtain pricing and technical information.
• Develop project scopes, proposals, and bid packages.
• Evaluate project risks, labor requirements, and material costs.
• Support value engineering efforts to optimize project solutions.
• Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
