Named for the founder and first director of the Geological Survey of Canada, the Sir William Logan Building houses staff from Natural Resources Canada in Ottawa. Its 21 floors are used for assembly and cultural, education and training, industrial, military, office, and storage purposes.

8 Wing at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Trenton is the hub of Royal Canadian Air Force air mobility operations in Canada. With fleets of tactical and strategic transport aircraft, 8 Wing/CFB Trenton delivers supplies to the high Arctic; airlifts troops, equipment, and humanitarian loads worldwide; and is home to the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre. Members of 8 Wing are involved in virtually every Canadian Armed Forces operation. The Air Mobility Training Centre at 8 Wing was built to house the equipment and personnel used to train pilots and maintenance crews for the CC-130J Hercules aircraft
