The SSX allows the SMART-Net port to be expanded to 5 separate ports, greatly improving overall distance. The SSX also helps keep the wiring runs shorter which makes the SMART-Net network more robust and error free. An external power supply has been added for longer distances.
It is reccomended to use the SSX when distances of the SMART-Net network exceed 100 feet, or more than 4 SSL’s.
